Depot Street between Loretta Street and Cutler Street: Crews have completed the installation of curb in this block. They will continue to work on installing sidewalks, driveways, gutter bands, parking stalls, etc.
Depot Street between Cutler Street and Irish Street: Currently open to local traffic while our crews begin concrete work in this block. Sidewalks and curbs are being installed as well as the planter boxes for future landscaping. Please proceed with caution around the fenced off areas. Expect a short closure of the Irish Street intersection soon, this closure will establish the curb bump outs and prep it for pouring asphalt. We'll update everyone when that closure happens, but here's an image of the intersection currently:
Depot Street between Irish Street and Main Street: Remains closed as crews continue to pour concrete and prepare for laying pavers. This month, our crews have been pouring the concrete basins that will keep pavers structurally secure in the roadway:
This shows those concrete basins completely poured, our paving crews will begin laying pavers soon:
Depot Street between Main Street and College Street: Will remain accessible to local traffic but closed to through traffic. The intersection of College Street and Depot Street is open. Please use caution while accessing this area.
Half of Academy Street on the College Street side: Our stormwater crew and The Greeneville Water Commission have completed their work but this section will remain closed until the road can be patched sometime in the next week. We’ll notify everyone once this section has been reopened. Parking on Academy St will remain accessible from Church St.
